Over the Labor Day weekend we went to our usual haunt of Sunset Beach, NC – 10 miles from Ocean Isle. We rented a house on the beach and stayed with Juan, Tania and their baby, Juan Andres. We had a great time – plenty of space to spread out, a short walk along this footbridge to the beach, and beautiful weather. The only downer was that Andres picked up a nasty virus that gave him 103 degree fevers and made him generally miserable.

emi and marcus went for their usual runs on the beach. cue baywatch music.
should’ve known the little fella wasn’t feeling well. he fell sound asleep about 15 minutes after hitting the beach.
